Installed on an older desktop computer running Windows XP Pro, software installed just fine and I did not have any problems updating my PC. It took some time to do it because it was treated as a new install, i.e. it was not possible to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. I had to manually reinstall all my previous Windows software programs, which took the most time but time required was not unreasonable. I did not want to buy Windows 8 because of compatibility issues with the desktop PC graphics card and I did not want to spend extra money to upgrade the PC's graphics capability to be able to run Windows 8. The one drawback with this software according to Microsoft is that you cannot install it on another PC, so if my PC craps out I am out the cost of the Windows 7 software, but I knew and took that risk when upgrading the PC. - Customer Reviews
