I used this to upgrade a client's computer from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Professional. I literally took just a few minutes to perform the upgrade. One reason you might upgrade to the "professional" software it to enable features such as BitLocker, which you need to comply with HIPPA regulations.
